Quality Nursing Services

We offer our facilities competitive rates.

While we offer our contractors top pay.

"Crosby's wonderful.  They're quick, informative and pay weekly as promised. They're always available, and I know this because I've called them in the middle of the night before one of my PM shifts.  The various settings allow you to learn different aspects of nursing.  I know that I am respected as an individual and most importantly, as a nurse."

Sally Nguyen, LVN

  Careers

Are you interested in working with a nursing registry who respects you and your abilities?

Have you found yourself looking for supplemental income to your current position?

Do you need scheduling flexibility that will allow you to attend to school and family life?

Are you returning to the work force but only interested in working part time

Do you want to be part of a diverse team of professionals?

Excellent weekly pay

Because we operate with very low overhead, we pass these savings on to our staff in the form of very competitive hourly pay.  We don't have a fancy office or large expense accounts to wine and dine prospective clients.  These savings make their way into YOUR pocket.

As a contractor with Crosby Nursing, you will be paid as a 1099 contractor, meaning we do not deduct state or federal taxes from your pay.  You will be responsible for making these payments yourself at tax time.  If you make more than $600 during a calendar year working with us, we must report that amount to the IRS.  You should consult your tax professional regarding questions for filing your annual taxes.

Control over your schedule

We understand that one reason nurses and other health care professionals chose to work with a registry is so they can maintain control over their work schedule.  When working with us, we ask you to report your availability once per week so we are able to place you on the schedule of available resources.  Because we often do not have much advance notice when a shift has become available, we will draw resources from those with listed availability.

What if you want to take a vacation, have finals in school, or a special event?  No problem.  Simply let us know you will not be available.

We also understand that many of our contractors are working to make money - and may have first or second jobs.  They may even be working with other registries.  We encourage our team members to diversify their employment opportunities.  We do not penalize staff for having full or part time jobs.  We do encourage open communication regarding availability.

Referral bonuses

We are hopeful that our team members will recommend working with us to their friends and colleagues.  We will reward each referral with a $100 bonus paid after the referred person has worked 10 shifts with Crosby Nursing.

We also pay a handsome commission for referrals into facilities.  For details on this program, please call our office at 562.221.9935.

RNs and LVNs, please have at least two years of previous experience - not including your clinical rotations.

We will set up a meeting and interview.  During the interview, expect to be asked to complete a skills and competency evaluation.  The testing can take up to two hours, so provide plenty of time to complete this step without having to hurry.  Bring copies of your professional licensure, driver's license, Social Security card, and proof of Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support CPR training (must be current and ONLY from programs approved by the American Heart Association, we DO NOT accept training from any other programs including The Red Cross).  Items that are helpful to bring along include any physician's clearance letter to work, proof of recent TB test (within the last 12 months), proof of Hep-B, MMR, and Varicella immunizations, letters of recommendation, and school or college transcripts.
